Xiaomi 12T Pro “Make Moments Mega” - 1 Month Full Review

It’s been a while since the Xiaomi 12T Pro launched into the smartphone market. Xiaomi 12T Pro is the first Xiaomi smartphone that brought you the latest powerful processor, Snapdragon® 8+ Gen 1 and the latest camera sensor, 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP1. What do you think about the phone design and specifications for Xiaomi 12T Pro? I had used the Xiaomi 12T Pro for quite a period of time and I would like to share my experience of using the Xiaomi 12T Pro for 1 month. 

Design

Although the flat edge design is brought to most of the Android smartphones this year, Xiaomi 12T Pro is still adapted with a 2.5D curved back panel for easy hand-grip. Besides that, the rear design is elegant and similar to the Xiaomi 12 Series, but unfortunately, the back panel looks like it was made of plastic. In addition, the display for Xiaomi 12T Pro is almost bezel-less. 

Display

This is the first time the Xiaomi T Series has been equipped with a 1.5K screen, this allowed the users to see more details in a single screen. Besides that, Xiaomi 12T Pro also comes with an AMOLED display that supports up to 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+ videos similar to the previous generation. In addition, the video toolbox in Xiaomi 12T Pro allows you to upscale the resolution of videos, applying filter effects such as B&W, and enhanced animations and contours. These tools can help you to enjoy your videos on another level. 

Audio

Similar to the previous generation, Xiaomi 12T Pro installed with dual speakers and certified with Dolby Atmos and sound by Harman Kardon. This allows the user to enjoy the immersive sounds while playing games, watching videos or listening to the music. 

Camera

Xiaomi 12T Pro is the first Xiaomi smartphone that features a 200MP main camera, which enables the users to capture a lot of details in a single photo. Besides that, Xiaomi 12T Pro is able to capture awesome night mode in low light. This time, Xiaomi 12T Pro has introduced the brand new Xiaomi Pro Cut where you can get the best cropped photos with different ratios from your 200MP photos. Similar to the previous generation, Xiaomi 12T Pro includes the camera modes and the gallery editor where you can use your creativity to create the amazing photos or cinematic videos, such as VLOG, Movie Effects, Long Exposure, Clones, 8K / HDR10+ Video Recording, Ultra Night Video, AI Skyscraping, Video Editor, and so on. Performance

Compared to the other smartphone in Xiaomi Series, Xiaomi 12T Pro is featuring the latest 4nm TSMC processor, Snapdragon® 8+ Gen 1. Snapdragon® 8+ Gen 1 clocks up to 3.2GHz with ARMv9 Cortex-X2 Technology. Xiaomi 12T Pro can reach 1 million scores for AnTuTu Benchmark and the highest temperature that Xiaomi 12T Pro can reach after an hour of gaming is around 44°C. The whole gameplay with Xiaomi 12T Pro is very smooth even though you had set the highest graphics settings with highest frame rate that are available in the graphic-demanding mobile games such as Genshin Impact. This means that Xiaomi 12T Pro did a great job to offer you superb performance and control the temperature. Battery & Charging

Similar to the previous generation, Xiaomi 12T Pro is equipped with 5000mAh battery and 120W HyperCharge. I noticed that Xiaomi 12T Pro consumes about 7% of battery after half an hour gaming in graphic-demanding mobile games. When the Xiaomi 12T Pro is in idle mode, the battery consumption took about 6% for 6 hours. Besides that, Xiaomi 12T Pro has a new charging feature called “Boost changing speed”, which means you need to turn it on if you want to charge the Xiaomi 12T Pro at a high speed of 120W. If you don't turn on the feature, Xiaomi 12T Pro will charge at normal speed to keep the temperature and preserve the lifespan of the battery. Not only that, Xiaomi 12T Pro introduced optimized charging where it learns your daily charging routine in order to reduce unnecessary continuous charging.
